VAN DEER-Red Bull Sports: PARTNER IN THE AUSTRIAN SKIPOOL

The next milestone for the VAN DEER-Red Bull Sports ski brand founded by Marcel Hirscher: the company is now a partner in the Austria Skipool, the organization that provides high-quality racing equipment and funding for the ÖSV's Alpine and Nordic athletes every year. The corresponding cooperation agreement was signed after the end of the most successful World Cup season to date for VAN DEER-Red Bull Sports.

VAN DEER-Red Bull Sports: PARTNER IN THE AUSTRIAN SKIPOOL

“We only started three years ago and have already earned our first merits in elite sports. The past winter was our most successful so far, with a total of 36 victories and 113 podium finishes across alpine and nordic disciplines.

I think now is the right time for things to come together as they should, and I’m very pleased about the partnership between Austria Skipool and VAN DEER-Red Bull Sports

says Marcel Hirscher.

As stipulated in the statutes, VAN DEER-Red Bull Sports will initially equip athletes from the B and C squads of the ÖSV in the first two years: Max Franz and Christoph Krenn are starting their comeback season on VAN DEER-Red Bull Sports after long injury breaks, with Florian Neumayer completing the small team. “We are very honored by the interest shown by many athletes in our equipment, but as in the international arena, we will also remain true to our focus strategy in Austria and only gradually expand the team,” explains Toni Giger, COO and racing manager at VAN DEER-Red Bull Sports.

The company’s associated brand, AUGMENT, is celebrating its tenth anniversary this year. It remains a partner in the Austria Skipool and supplies not only Austria’s ski jumping stars Eva Pinkelnig and overall World Cup winner and Four Hills Tournament champion Daniel Tschofenig with jumping skis but also our ski cross athletes.
